Eliot has been created to meet an emergent need in the market: the maintenance of wind turbines; an activity that has not kept pace with the rate at
which wind turbine technology has evolved, and has become obsolete. ELIOT is an automated solution for the maintenance of processes such as cleaning
wind turbine shafts, cleaning and painting blades, changing oil, taking tomography readings of shafts, etc.
ELIOT patented its system in 2005. After several years of research and development of the traction machine, Eliot Systems Engineering was set up
with private capital in 2010 to implement the project: a robot capable of climbing vertical surfaces in order to clean and maintain wind turbines.
In 2011 the patents for the robot cleaning system were extended to practically the whole world.
